- DDD Awards | Concept & Motion Design -
At Dentsu Creative, I worked with the DCX team and Filippo Spiezia to shape the concept for DDD Awards, an awards platform designed to connect creative disciplines and recognise outstanding work.
My contribution spanned the platform’s ambition, taxonomy and voting system, before translating our shared vision into a hand-drawn storyboard, visual direction and animated film.
Initially conceived as a fully 3D world, the film evolved into a 2D-led approach with selective 3D elements. Carefully crafted colours, textures and timing brought the platform’s ideas to life through a cohesive motion language.
Infinite creative worlds. Now in one space.
From concept to narrativeThe film’s story grew from the platform itself: its purpose, its audience and the connections it aimed to create across creative disciplines.
Exploring the visual world
Hand-drawn storyboards, styleframes and an early 3D teaser helped define the project’s atmosphere and visual language before moving into production.

Finding the right balance
Adapting the initial 3D direction to the available time and resources led to a focused combination of 2D animation and selective 3D moments, with particular attention to texture, colour and rhythm.
